Thomas Skinner has confirmed his return to BBC after missing the Strictly Come Dancing final last month.
β
During Tuesday's (Janaury 13) instalment of Good Morning Britain, ITV viewers saw presenters Ed Balls and Susanna Reid speak to the former BBC The Apprentice candidate.
β
Last year, Thomas took part in Strictly alongside fan-favourite Amy Dowden, who recently spoke about her celebrity partner not appearing in the final. However, ahead of their debut together, Thomas received a wave of backlash online.
β
The star was eliminated first in the competition, which sparked speculation the votes were rigged to boot him off of the show over the negative publicity.
However, when speaking to Susanna and Ed, she read out a statement from the BBC which stated: "Strictly Come Dancingβs public vote is independently overseen and verified to ensure complete accuracy every week. Any claims to the contrary are entirely without foundation."
β
During their discussion, Thomas spoke about his brief time on the show as he revealed more plans to work with the broadcaster in the future.
Addressing the rumours that he was going to take legal action against the BBC, Thomas shared: "I did have some chats with the BBC, I did.
"They said 'You've been sent something you shouldn't have been sent, it is what it is. We think you should get some legal advice.' That was the chat with the BBC.

"I've got no rows with the BBC, I was on the Celebrity Apprentice raising money for Children in Need a week after, and I'm doing bits with them next year."
β
Susanna highlighted that he didn't appear for the reunion at the end, as he explained his reasoning behind the decision.
He said: "The reason I didn't come back, this is the honest truth. I thought, I've had all this bad press, I've been frontpage every time I've been on the show, I didn't want to take away from everyone else.
β
"I didn't want my wife to think, 'Oh, there's another story about us now.' It wasn't fair. But anyway, I ended up being front page anyway! So it didn't really matter."
Despite not appearing in the Strictly finale, which saw Karen Carney and Carlos Gu claim the win, Thomas shared that Amy is now a 'family friend'. He also told Susanna and Ed that he's set to play golf with Strictly professional Kai Widdrington in a few weeks.
Speaking about the amount of press he received while on the BBC show, Thomas admitted: "It was stupid, there were journalists outside my house following my wife back from Sainsbury's, I saw my wife getting upset, and that's what hurt me more than anything, my wife and my family.
"They were knocking on my sister's door, they were knocking on my friends door, they sat in my local pub and offered people money to sell stories on me! It was mad."
