Police charge man 207 days after Stoke-on-Trent kebab shop crash - Stoke-on-Trent Live

The 21-year-old is due to appear before magistrates next month

Police have charged a man after a kebab shop was wiped out in a car crash more than five months ago. Daniel Mohammed faces a number of charges over the Burslem crash in July.

Emergency services had been called to Rose Fast Food on Scotia Road - at the junction of Bycars Road - at around 6am on July 20. The road had to be shut off before part of the building was brought to the ground.

Today Staffordshire Police say 21-year-old Mohammed, of Cobridge, has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving, using a motor vehicle on a road / public place without third party insurance, using a handheld mobile phone while driving a motor vehicle on a road, and failing to provide a specimen for analysis.

The defendant is due at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on February 12.
