Two fire engines, police and paramedics were all at the collision

A man is thought to have suffered a 'medical episode' as emergency services were scrambled to a three-car smash. Police, paramedics and two fire engines were sent to Leek Road in Congleton to reports of a smash.

The collision occurred at 10.30am on Tuesday with Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service sending crews from Congleton and Alsager to the incident. The service says one person was 'assisted' from their vehicle.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "Police were called to a collision on Leek Road, Congleton. Officers attended and found there had been a collision between three vehicles, a grey Peugeot 3008, a grey Seat Leon and a red Kia Stonic. One man was taken to hospital following the collision, he is believed to have suffered a medical episode."
