A Next jacket ideal for the changing weather is gaining popularity on the retailer's site. The Khaki Green Cotton Utility Jacket was originally £44, but is now down to £21. The jacket also comes in pink (was £44, now £21), and in khaki camo. The latter is down to only £18.50, but was mostly sold out at the time of writing.
The jacket comes in petite, regular, and tall fits. It's made in a utility-inspired design and has a popper fastening, a funnel neck, and four front pockets. There are also popper details on the sleeves, and the jacket is made entirely from cotton. Next says: "With a utility-inspired design that transcends trends, this stylish khaki green jacket is made with pure cotton, featuring a popper fastening for easy dressings, a funnel neck and four front pockets, finished with popper detailing to the sleeves."
Alternatively, you can try the Neutral Fern Waxed Barn Jacket from Whistles. Originally £189, the jacket is now down to £151.20. Made from 100 per cent cotton, the utility jacket has a contrast curduroy collar.

On the cheaper side, there's the Cotton Utility Jacket for £28 at H&M. The jacket has a stand-up collar and a wind flap for extra protection.
The Next jacket has 4.1 stars from 33 reviews. One person said: "Love this jacket, it's the second one I've bought, I bought petite as its a better fit for me."
Another wrote: "Lovely casual jacket, I've had compliments already. Quite roomy but I'm happy with that." A third said "Ideal for autumn as thicker fabric than I anticipated."

But a few people complained about the jacket's fit, with one writing: "Such a bad fit, the arms were huge. Tried a few different sizes but just seems to be the fit. Such a shame as looks like a lovely jacket."
