We Londoners know how great our city is, and though we may grumble about tourists, we secretly love having them here. Let's be honest, it's flattering.
And what's more, now we have proof. A study conducted by Titan Travel has named the capital the best spot in the entire world for a city break. Eat your heart out, New York. Au revoir, Paris.

With a score of 9.52 out of 10, London is just ahead of the City of Light with 9.32. Barcelona, Nice and Istanbul make up the rest of the top five.
While it comes ninth in the overall list, Dubai wins the TikTok stakes, with over 137.7 billion views on the app. Meanwhile, Barcelona, Lisbon and Frankfurt are seeing the greatest surge in tourist interest, while India, Japan and Italy are rated as the world's most picturesque destinations. "People are stretched for time here," Tottenham-born Alma said, "If you have friends in deep South London, seeing those people is difficult.
"Thereโs a hustle culture in London, people need to make money, survive and see family. Immediate family and school friends are the support system that exists, itโs hard to make friends."
But Philadelphian Dana reckons you need to push through Londoners' hard outer shell, remarking: "If you say good morning to someone in London they say what are you talking about, but if you push above and beyond that, thereโs community."
