Police have launched a CCTV appeal after a woman was upskirted on the London Underground. A man was caught taking inappropriate photos on a Victoria line train at around 5.45pm on Saturday, December 13.
β
Another passenger alerted the victim to the act as the service approached Finsbury Park station. The man responsible is still at large over a month later.
β
The British Transport Police is now appealing for the public's help identifying a person of interest. A statement reads: "Detectives would like to speak to the man pictured, as they believe he may have information that could help their investigation."
β
The footage shows a middle-aged White man with a brown moustache and beard. His head is covered by a white cap but he appears to have no, or very little, hair.
β
He is also wearing a blue top under a grey jacket with a beige collar.
Upskirting offenders use equipment like a camera or mobile phone to take photos or videos underneath a personβs clothes without their permission. Anyone found guilty could be subject to a two year maximum prison sentence.
Anyone who recognises the man pictured is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 161 of 13 December. Anonymous reports can be made to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or the charity's website.
