HBO and Sky are gearing up for the return of an acclaimed murder mystery drama that has had fans hooked with each season so far.
Each instalment features a new crop of A-listers portraying high-flying guests at a luxury hotel, any one of whom could become victims by the end of their stay.
Practically every episode of the unmissable drama has had fans screaming at their screens over the jaw-dropping twists and unexpected moments with the characters.
It’s now been confirmed that the third season of The White Lotus will premiere on Sunday, February 16th, and the exciting release date news coincided with the thrilling new trailer dropping this week.
Season three will be set in Thailand and follow another dysfunctional group of wealthy tourists whose spiritual retreat takes a dark turn.
Walton Goggins and Sex Education’s Aimee Lou Wood star as a toxic couple while Carrie Coon, Michelle Monaghan and Leslie Bibb appear to be playing a trio of sisters.
Meanwhile, Harry Potter star Jason Isaacs is lost in the woods, Parker Posey is self-medicating and returning character Belinda Lindsey (Natasha Rothwell) is seeking a new lease on life.
Also joining the mystery will be Scott Glenn, Sarah Catherine Hook, Patrick Schwarzenegger and K-pop star Lalisa Manobal aka Lisa.
Created by Mike White, the first two seasons scored international acclaim and several Emmy awards, including two trophies for Jennifer Coolidge’s iconic performance as Tanya McQuoid.
Fans are already ecstatic for The White Lotus’ impending return, with one fan commenting under the trailer: “The initial two seasons were quite remarkable. It was just amazing acting. I'm hoping they can maintain the momentum!”
And another replied: “Its such a great series. Each season, they have an amazing cast. Couldn't believe they got Lisa this time.”
The HBO drama’s third season will be absolutely must-watch television if reactions to the first two seasons are anything to go by.
One X (formerly Twitter) user said about the first season: “Started #TheWhiteLotus today and, like countless football and bachelor fans before me, ended up screaming at my TV.
“I know it’s fiction, but if you’re on your honeymoon with Alexandra Daddario and all you can think about is how your room isn’t right…buddy, you’ve got problems.”
“Me screaming at the screen the entire episode,” another user said during the season two finale.
And a third fan wrote: “That ending. I screamed. Absolutely insane show. I feel more insane having watched it. 10/10 can’t wait for season 3.”
