  1. Harlan Coben's Run Away has become a smash hit for Netflix, and after bingeing the series, many fans have been left questioning what became of Henry Thorpe. While the mystery drama focuses on the disappearance of Paige Greene (Ellie de Lange) as her father Simon Greene (played by James Nesbitt) attempts to find her, she isn’t the only young person to go missing.
  2. Private investigator Elena Ravenscroft (Ruth Jones) is brought in to track down Henry Thorpe, who is another missing individual. Though not shown on camera, it's implied that Henry met his end at the hands of Dee Dee (Maeve Courtier-Lilley) and Ash (Jon Pointing).
  3. Dee Dee is part of the Shining Truth cult and recruits her ex-foster brother Ash to carry out a series of murders for the organisation's leader Casper (Ken Bones). She then tells Ash that Casper is dying and has already handpicked his two "divine" sons to take over as cult leader and claim his fortune.
  4. Yet it comes to light that Casper has sired multiple children over the years who were put up for adoption, with their mothers tricked into believing their newborns had perished during childbirth. Consequently, to protect his cult and his riches from outside interference, he orders his followers to murder these unknown sons, Henry among them.
  5. The deaths of all except Henry are shown on screen, though Dee Dee does provide a subtle clue regarding Henry's ultimate fate. In Coben's 2019 novel and its Netflix adaptation, Dee Dee discloses: "One was shot in a robbery. One committed suicide. One is just missing, probably a runaway. One should be, I don't know, stabbed, maybe by a drug-addled homeless nut.” This implies that Henry is the third person who is listed as "missing" but was in fact killed off-screen.
