The Duffer Brothers are planning "the next big thing in the Stranger Things universe".

Stranger Things fans are gearing up for a bittersweet finale as the upcoming fifth season marks the final instalment in the saga.
The stars of the series, including Eleven actress Millie Bobby Brown, have admitted emotions are high as they have all grown up with the show.
While fans will be devastated to say goodbye to Hawkins and the history it holds, The Duffer Brothers told Radio Times there is an exciting update ahead.
They teased work is soon to begin on a live-actions spin off, which will have a similar feel to Stranger Things.
Ross Duffer said: "I don’t want to say too much. We’ve had the idea for a live-action spin-off for a few years, and only recently have we actually had the time and bandwidth to work on it.

But it’s not a continuation of the story of any of these characters in the flagship show, or of Hawkins.
"We really are trying to close the door on all of that with this final season. So it’s a new story, but one that works in this universe.”
Matt said work on the new spin-off will begin "as soon as Stranger Things 5 releases".
With this in mind, fans can rest assured they will be seeing another Duffer Brothers masterpiece in the works very soon.

The news comes after the announcement an animated series was also on the cards, titled Stranger Things: Tales From '85'.
The series is coming to Netflix in 2026 and acts as a spin-off set between seasons two and three.
However, the original cast will not be reprising their roles, as a new voice cast will take over the story.
The teaser reads: "The year is 1985, it’s a freezing winter in Hawkins, and our heroes are about to embark on an epic journey where the original characters must fight new monsters and unravel a paranormal mystery terrorizing their town".
The idea came to the Duffer Brothers when they were brainstorming other concepts within the world of Hawkins.
Stranger Things season 5, volume 1 will drop on Netflix on November 26 in the US and November 27 in the UK.
