Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man has officially been given its release date, with Netflix teasing what to expect from Tommy Shelby's last chapter.
Three years have gone by since Peaky Blinders aired its sixth and final season, with creator Steven Knight confirming that the journey wasn't over quite yet, with a film also on the way.
Since the BBC drama came to an end, Tommy Shelby actor Cillian Murphy has been busy, having won critical acclaim and an Oscar for his performance in the thriller Oppenheimer.
But once again, Murphy will be back as the iconic Birmingham gangster with the film Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, now given an official release date for both Netflix subscribers and cinema-goers.
Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man is going to be shown at select cinemas on Friday, March 6, 2026, before the film then drops on Friday, March 20, 2026, on Netflix.
Teasing what’s to come, Netflix has released an official synopsis and it sounds like Tommy’s about to face his most challenging chapter yet.
It reads: “Birmingham, 1940. Amidst the chaos of WWII, Tommy Shelby is driven back from a self-imposed exile to face his most destructive reckoning yet.
“With the future of the family and the country at stake, Tommy must face his own demons, and choose whether to confront his legacy, or burn it to the ground. By order of the Peaky Blinders…”
Joining Academy Award-winning Cillian Murphy in Peaky Blinders The Immortal Man will be Dune star Rebecca Ferguson, Reservoir Dogs icon Tim Roth and Gentleman Jack actress Sophie Rundle who will be reprising her role as Ada Thorne.
Other major names who have been announced for the Peaky Blinders film are Adolescence and A Thousand Blows icon Stephen Graham, as well as Saltburn actor Barry Keoghan.
Graham previously starred in the sixth season of the BBC period drama as Liverpool gangster and Tommy's former acquaintance Hayden Stagg.
Knight, who has since worked on A Thousand Blows and Netflix's House of Guinness, has written the film with award-winning director Tom Harper also on board.
Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man premieres at select cinemas on Friday, March 6, 2026, and then on Netflix on Friday, March 20, 2026.
