  • Love Island All Stars' first episode has been cancelled due to the South African wildfires. The hit ITV2 reality series was pencilled to kick off in just a few days, but the production team have been left "scrambling" after wildfires caused a road closure near the villa.
  • The first episode was due to premiere on Monday, January 12. However, it needs rescheduling, meaning fans will need to wait a little bit longer before their favourite programme returns. Filming was postponed, and the production site was evacuated due to the wildfires.
  • A source told The Mirror: "Crew are understandably worried, but the welfare team are making sure there's support available. They've been told to stay in their hotels."
  • ITV also confirmed filming needs to be postponed, while stressing that their first priority is health and safety. The network said in a statement: "Further to a production evacuation owing to ongoing wildfires in the area, our assessment of the location site has concluded that filming will need to be postponed. Health and safety is our greatest priority and will always come first, and therefore the transmission of Love Island: All Stars will be delayed until a date to be confirmed."
  • The wildfires have hit South Africa's Western and Eastern Cape as the strong winds and high temperatures have fuelled the blazes. While fire services said on Friday, January 9, that significant progress was made overnight in some areas, wildfires in Langrug and Franschhoek areas in the Boland region were still burning "out of control".
  • A spokesperson for Cape Winelands District Municipality’s Fire Services told SABC News they planned a military flight to assess the full extent of the fire and determine its current direction.
  • This Love Island season Shaq Muhammad and Whitney Adebayo. The show is hosted by Maya Jama. ITV has not yet confirmed a new date for the show.
  • It is filmed at the Ludus Magnus villa, a luxury 25-acre estate located in the picturesque Franschhoek wine valley in the Western Cape of South Africa, sees the return of Millie Court. The location is an hour's drive from Cape Town and is used for the winter editions of the show because of the warmer weather during the UK's winter months.
