Love is Blind has returned to Netflix with the cast in Denver hoping to meet their life partners through the unique experiment.

Each contestant will go through the motions fans are now all too familiar with, as they speak to prospective partners from separate pods.

ā€Œ

However, one of the contestants opened up about how the experiment means so much more to her, as she is actually at risk of going blind later in life.

ā€Œ

Madison Maidenberg, 26, told the show's hosts and her fellow co-stars: "I have a blinding eye condition and there's a good chance that I'm going to go blind.

"This experiment is so much more to me because it simulates what my life could be like when I do lose my vision."

ā€Œ

As the other stars listened in shock, she continued: "I know what I need in a partner with my diagnosis.

"So it's so important that I find the correct person and that somebody is so empathetic and understanding."

Madison has retinitis pigmentosa (RP), a rare genetic condition, and she was diagnosed when she was 21 years old.

On her Instagram account, Madison explained retinitis pigmentosa impacts the "rods and cones in my eyes, making it harder for my eyes to intake light sensory".
