While chatting with Dermot O'Leary on tonight's first X Factor live show, Liam Payne revealed he's keeping his eye on groups contestant Myles Stephenson.

Because according to the One Direction hunk, Rak-Su's Myles has the hots for Cheryl!

Liam made the cheeky revelation on the talent show on Saturday night after Dermot asked him to name his favourite of the competition so far.

He first said he thought "Kelvin [Davey White] is good and I think Rai-Elle did a great job of opening the show."

Liam then pointed to Myles and said: "And him, he fancies my missus so I’ve got to keep an eye on him!"

Referring to his girlfriend, Cheryl, the 24-year-old then winked to the audience - perhaps to Myles, or Cheryl herself - showing his comments were all in jest.

It's no wonder Liam is territorial of Cheyl, who he shares baby Bear with.

She was in the audience to lend her support to her boyfriend, but also as part of her role in judges houses, when she was a guest of Simon Cowell's.

It was there Simon teased Myles and Cheyl after Myles had confessed he liked her.

She admitted: "I'm taken - sorry."

But putting his hands up in the air, Simon said: "Trust me on this show anything can happen."

Not taking the joke very well, Cheryl gave him a little slap on the arm while Simon giggled to himself.

There was plenty of excitement when host Dermot O'Leary sat down for a chat with Cheryl, who was watching from a prime spot in the live audience.

Before seeing her boyfriend perform, she wanted to send a message to Simon, who was r ushed to hospital yesterday after falling down stairs at his London home.

She said:"First of all I really miss you Simon, I know you'll be watching at home. You're very, very missed and we love you."
