Former The One Show star Jeremy Vine has announced a new line-up for his show on a rival TV channel.
Revealing the new look daytime schedule for Channel 5, he posted a clip on X in which he said to his co-host Storm Huntley: "So it’s good to have Storm back - and actually you've got some news to share about your show next year.”
Sharing she has a new show, Storm replied: “I do, yes. From 2026 I’m going to be joined by a new co-host. The one, the only, Alexis Conran. And you’re going to find us both at the usual time of 11.30am right the way through to 12.45pm taking your calls on all the issues that matter most to you.”
Jeremy then went on to say: “That’s not all actually - we’re getting even bigger with more chances for you to have your say. From 12.45pm, we’ve got a brand new show joining the daytime schedule - that’s Matt Allwright. Matt will be here until 2pm getting your views on the big stories of the day and offering lots of help and advice to save us money and hopefully make our lives a bit easier.”

She’s going to be back next year at the new time of 2pm when she’ll be having a good old gossip with her guests - and of course, she’ll be gossiping with you at home too."
Almost forgetting himself, Jeremy added: “I’ll still be here as well, same time, same place and we hope you’ll be with us. We’re honestly so thrilled here at ITV productions to be making this for Channel 5.
“So myself at 9.15am, followed by Storm & Alexis at 11.30am, Matt Allwright at 12.50pm, rounding off your day with the brilliant Vanessa at 2pm. We are your team here.”
And fans are here for it, with one writing in the comments underneath: “great news!” Another posted: “Brilliant line up.” But a third wasn’t so convinced and wrote: “So for nearly SIX HOURS Channel 5 is going to have virtually the same programme talking about the same subjects. Bring back the test card.”
Before landing his Channel 5 TV show, 60-year-old Jeremy - who still has a popular lunchtime radio show on BBC Radio Two - was a co-host on The One Show alongside Alex Jones.
He recently appeared in court to give evidence against former footballer Joey Barton, who was handed a suspended sentence over for online posts he made about Jeremy and football commentators Lucy Ward and Eni Aluko.
When Barton superimposed the heads of serial killers Fred and Rose West on Lucy and Eni's bodies in an X post, Vine stepped in to ask: "What's going on with @Joey7Barton? I just glanced at the Rose West thing... genuinely, is it possible we are dealing with a brain injury here?" A court heard this prompted Barton to launch a tirade of abuse at Jeremy in which he repeatedly referred to him as a 'nonce.'
Explaining his distress at this, Jeremy told Liverpool Crown Court: "I could see this was now escalating. I was very alarmed he was choosing this word 'nonce' to throw around. He had obviously decided to go in on accusing me.
"I was beginning to get very worried that Barton had got this obsession with me, with labelling me to his many followers, many who were like-minded. At this point I was really alarmed. I just had a sense he was not going to stop."
Barton went on to repost an image of Vine with the caption "If you see this fella by a primary school call 999", the court was told. Vine told the jury: "This now gets really serious. He is accusing me of being a paedophile. I'm a law-abiding father-of-two, I'm a faithful husband. These are disgusting actions. It's a despicable thing to say. It gravely upset me and I had a sleepless night that night."
The 43-year-old was later sentenced to six months in custody, which is suspended for 18 months, for sending six grossly offensive social media posts.
