The This Morning team have gained an adorable new recruit with Sian Welby giving birth to her first baby - a little girl who she has named Ruby

TV and radio presenter Sian Welby appeared on Monday's instalment of This Morning to shed light on motherhood after welcoming her first child, a daughter who she has called Ruby.
Sian, 37, gave birth to her daughter last week and was seen cradling the tot while taking a stroll with her fiancé Jake Beckett. On Monday morning, she joined ITV hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard to discuss how parenthood has been treating her since she gave birth last week.
The new mum joined Cat and Ben in a discussion over video call as she spoke to the hosts from her newborn's nursery in their home in South London. Sian appeared in high spirits as she admitted that all her dreams came true when her daughter was finally placed in her arms after she had to undergo an emergency c-section.
Given that Sian only gave birth a number of days ago, both Cat and Ben pointed out how incredible Sian looked. And it wasn't long before fans flocked to X, formerly known as Twitter, to gush over the presenter. One wrote: "OMG Sian Welby looks better than ever. To think she's only given birth a few days ago."

Last month, Sian delighted in telling fans she was expecting a baby girl. The ITV daytime and Capital FM star was spotted for the first time since becoming a mum on a walk cradling the baby in a sling. Sian was also seen holding hands with partner Jake.
The new mum looked loved up as the new family went for a short walk. The first-time- mum looked beaming with joy as she sported casual in a black Adidas tracksuit while taking a stroll outside. The presenter and Capital FM star was spotted on the walk with fiancé Jake, who was sporting a backpack, plain grey t-shirt, and trainers. Before going on maternity leave, Sian shared the gender of her baby live on air.
Sian -who co-hosts Capital Breakfast alongside Jordan North and Chris Stark - told listeners: "It has been an absolute pleasure and honour to share this pregnancy with you all. Before I go off on baby leave I've decided I want to share one more thing with everyone. We are a family.
"And I have told my nearest and dearest what me and Jake are having because we did find out the sex...So I've decided as a huge thank you to all of you that have been on this journey with me, I'm gonna tell you what I'm having" and exclaimed: "It's a girl."
Sian is best known for her work across TV and radio. She currently co-hosts the Capital Breakfast Show and can be heard every weekday 6am-10am. Prior to this, Sian hosted her own Heart FM evening show and her own Heart FM Sunday morning show. She was also seen regularly hosting ITV’s This Morning back in January 2024 alongside Dermot O’Leary.
