Industry season four recently hit screens with plenty more steamy scenes and backstabbing. The BBC and HBO drama, which many have compared to Succession, charts the rise of a group of graduates trying to make their mark on the City and earn big at the same time.

Season four marked a change of pace for Industry after the end of the Pierpoint & Co., the firm that all of the grads started out at. The new episodes chart the main characters as they venture into pastures new and put themselves in new dilemmas with their work-hard, party-hard lifestyles.

Many viewers are curious about when they can catch the next episode of Industry season four, which is comprised of eight episodes, like its predecessors. Here’s everything you need to know about the forthcoming episode of Industry.

When is Industry season 4 episode 2 released?

Industry season four, episode two is titled The Commander and the Grey Lady and will be hitting screens first in the USA on HBO and HBO Max on Sunday, January 18 at 9pm Eastern Standard Time.

The episode will then be landing on BBC iPlayer on Monday at 6am GMT, January 19 for British audiences to watch. Episode two will also be broadcast on BBC One at 10.40pm.

Episodes air on a weekly basis rather than dropping as a boxset like other shows.

A synopsis for The Commander and the Grey Lady on the BBC reads: “Tis the season to be jolly, but in Somerset, Yasmin and Henry have slipped back into old habits. Eager for change, Yasmin plans a big festive celebration for Henry’s birthday, bringing the industry to the Mucks. Whitney seeks Henry out and makes him an offer that would see him return to the public stage. At the party, Harper takes the chance to learn a bit more about the enigma that is Whitney.”

Industry season four again features an ensemble cast led by Myha’la’s Harper Stern and Marisa Abela as Yasmin Kara-Hanani. Some of the returning cast members included Kit Harington, Ken Leung, Miriam Petche, Sagar Radia, and Toheeb Jimoh.

There are also some new cast members, including Coronation Street’s Amy James-Kelly, Jack Farthing of Poldark fame, Mad Men’s Kiernan Shipka, and Max Minghella from The Handmaid’s Tale.

Speaking about the new outing, creators Mickey Down and Konrad Kay said season four would see: “Broader scope. Higher stakes. Deeper, more intricate storytelling. More entertainment. Darker. Funnier.

“The core themes of this season are who owns the truth, the intersection of identity, storytelling and entrepreneurship, and the interdependence of fascism and capitalism.”

Reflecting on the immense success of Industry, they said: “People like watching people work - but also the calibre of the acting, its capacity to surprise people season upon season and the contradictory humanity embodied by the characters.

"It’s an act of creation without the precedent of IP to follow or rules prescribed by the archetypes of genre storytelling. The show can evolve and re-spawn according to what we feel creatively inclined to do and we’re very supported in that evolution.”

Industry is released on BBC iPlayer on Mondays at 6am and airs on BBC One at 10.40pm
