Crime thriller His & Hers is a must-watch new Netflix drama and it’s arriving in less than a week.
Based on a bestselling novel, it’s already received rave reviews and is being compared to the work of Harlan Coben, whose books have been adapted into several hit streaming shows.
In fact, the latest adaptation, Run Away starring James Nesbitt and Ruth Jones, may be swiftly forgotten once His & Hers arrives on the platform.
Good Housekeeping even declared “move over Harlan Coben, His & Hers is the ‘compulsive’ thriller series with an ‘off the scale’ twist factor” in their bold write-up of the must-watch drama.
As Netflix gears up to kick off 2026 with yet another addictive thriller, let’s take a look at what’s currently confirmed about the series.
What is His & Hers about?
His & Hers is a six-part limited series developed and written by William Oldroyd, with Dee Johnson serving as showrunner.
Based on the 2020 novel of the same by Alice Feeney, the series follows an entangled pair of characters who are both investigating the same gruesome crime in a small town in Georgia.
Anna is a withdrawn journalist who decides to report on a brutal murder in the hopes of landing a career comeback. Detective Jack Harper is leading the police investigation and their intriguing connections to both the case and each other is unveiled as the series unfolds.
A synopsis reads: “Set in the sweltering heat of Atlanta, Anna lives in haunting reclusivity, fading away from her friends and career as a news anchor.
“But when she overhears about a murder in Dahlonega - the sleepy town where she grew up – Anna is snapped back to life, pouncing on the case and searching for answers.
“Detective Jack Harper is strangely suspicious of her involvement, chasing her into the crosshairs of his own investigation. There are two sides to every story: His & Hers, which means someone is always lying.”
Who’s in the cast of His & Hers?
Leading the unmissable drama is Tessa Thompson as Anna and Jon Bernthal as Detective Harper. Both actors are familiar to Marvel fans as Thompson plays Thor’s (Chris Hemsworth) frequent companion Valkyrie while Bernthal has portrayed the Punisher across the MCU’s Netflix and Disney+ series.
Thompson is also known for the Creed films and Hedda, while Bernthal appears in The Walking Dead, The Accountant 2 and The Bear.
