Is James May married?
Fans often query whether James May has tied the knot. While he's not married, James and his companion, Sarah Frater, have been together for nearly 25 years.
Having commenced their relationship back in 2000, Sarah also happens to share a close bond with Richard Hammond's spouse, Mindy Hammond.
Sarah boasts an impressive expertise in art criticism, predominantly focusing her reviews on dance for a variety of esteemed outlets.
Does James May have children?
Many are curious if there are any children in the picture for James May. However, he and Sarah do not have offspring of their own, a choice he attributed to "being a late developer" during a past appearance on the Driven podcast.
He remarked: "I think it was just a result of life, let's put that down to being a late developer."
Despite having no kids together, James is a doting uncle, indulging in quality time with nieces and nephews and enjoying collaboration with youthful coworkers, particularly those in their twenties.
"That's the nature of TV, it has a big influx of people of that age who disperse and move on to other things, it's all very fluid," he added.
Where does James May live?
James May resides with his partner Sarah in their self-built abode within the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.
The couple have settled down in the Hammersmith area, where a few years back they shared that they had finally crafted their dream home after living in "places on the way".
Speaking to The Times, May confessed: "I'm living in a house that feels like a destination, and it's slightly disturbing. I'm just worried I'll end up thinking, right, I've done all that now."
Expressing his apprehension about the future, he continued: "I had a good crack at it and was very fortunate and now I'll - and I can't stand this expression - 'enjoy the rest of my life'.
"Because I don't think I will. I'll just be sitting there, waiting for The End."
After demolishing an old West London property and enduring a five-year renovation project, James completed his new home in March last year, which includes ample space for his impressive collection of vehicles.
His home is a haven for his beloved transport collection, boasting 40 motorbikes, a Rolls-Royce, a rare Ferrari 458 Speciale, a Porsche 911, and even a Fiat Panda.
The Grand Tour: One For The Road is set to premiere on Friday, September 13, on Amazon Prime Video.
