Gogglebox star signs up to new TV show with girlfriend after quitting Channel 4 series - The Mirror

Gogglebox fan favourite Tom Malone Jr has sent fans wild by announcing his latest TV project.

The TV fan, who starred on the Channel 4 show with his family before giving it up, has signed up for the new series of Celebrity Coach Trip with his girlfriend Bryony Briscoe.

The loved-up couple will be one pair of celebs to travel around in a coach to take on challenges and activities while competing to stay on board.

They're seen in a trailer for the E4 show alongside fellow stars including Geordie Shore's James Tindale and Sophia Kasaei and Birds of a Feather stars Linda Robson and Lesley Joseph.

Tom Jr, 27, posted on Instagram : " So excited/nervous to announce that we’ll be on this years Celebrity Coach Trip! It was a wild trip with some crazy characters but we loved every minute! Tune in to @e4grams tonight at 8pm to see the first episode and we’ll meet you on the coach somewhere along the way"

His announcement got his fans very excited, with one commenting: "Awww I'm deffo gonna watch now!!!"

"Yesss you two," another posted.

While a third told him: "Yay! Amazing news!!"

Tom Jr announced last February that he was leaving Gogglebox to explore other opportunities.

Since then, he's worked with a number of different brands to promote their products online, and also has big following on the TikTok account he shares with Bryony.

Tom Jr had starred on Gogglebox since 2014 alongside his dad Tom Sr, mum Julie and brother Shaun.

Announcing that he'd quit last year, he shared a snap of himself holding up a sign that read: "Back on the market. Get at me with any TV work".

He wrote: "So after 6 and a half years it’s finally time to put down the remote, and to say goodbye to Gogglebox.

"I've loved every minute and I’m eternally grateful to @channel4 and @studiolambert for allowing me to be a part of the show. But new opportunities are knocking on the door and it’s time to explore them."

He continued: "I look forward to enjoying the show as a viewer and not having to worry about having said something stupid [laughing emoji]".
