Richard Blackwood follows a long, long list of EastEnders villains.
Comedian, singer, DJ and former MTV host Blackwood, 42, starts filming in Albert Square for live episodes to mark the BBC soap’s 30th anniversary next month.
His exact role is secret but insiders told the Sunday People it is “explosive” and he’s poised to become a larger-than-life new villain - Kim Fox's estranged husband perhaps?
From drug pushing gangsters to child abusers their range is as vast as the depth of each character.
Goals and objectives weren't as thought out as your average Bond baddie - with many simply wanting to own a simple dodgy nightclub and launder dirty money through the good people of Walford via ill-gained earnings - but they did hold many a gripping TV storyline.
Others East End bad apples involved faaaaaaaaaaamily. Running fear through loved-ones much like the canal - where most murder weapons are exposed of - runs through Walford.
