Vick Hope is best known for being a presenter on BBC Radio 1, but she's now set to swap the radio for the countryside as she joins the team on BBC's Countryfile.
The 35-year-old star is due to make her debut on the hit show on Sunday, 9 March, as she joins Matt Baker in exploring Kielder Forest in Northumberland.
Speaking about her new role, Vick said: “I’m delighted to be joining the Countryfile team - spending time in nature has always been hugely important to me, so the chance to learn ever more about the world around us from such beautifully diverse perspectives and such a passionate mix of people who live and breathe country life across the UK will be so special and enriching."
Let's take a look into Vick's life away from the cameras, including her famous husband...
Vick, full name Victoria Nwayawu Nwosu‑Hope, was born and raised in Newcastle. She studied modern languages at Emmanuel College at the University of Cambridge and can speak French, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Her career kicked off when she spent a year abroad at university, travelling to Argentina. Vick became the youngest journalist ever employed in The Argentina Independent. While in Argentina, she was picked up by MTV, which led her to present shows for the company.
Vick's career continued to go from strength to strength from there. On the radio, Vick has hosted shows for the likes of Capital, Classic FM, and BBC Radio 1, while her TV career has seen her feature on programmes including Lorraine, The Voice UK, Pointless, and Crufts. She also had her own ITV show, Vick Hope's Breakfast Show, in 2022.
The award-winning presenter is also a talented writer, contributing to publications such as Marie Claire and Shout magazine. Her debut children's novel, Listen Up: Rule the Airwaves, Rule the School, was released in 2020, with a sequel due to follow shortly.
Vick is married to DJ Calvin Harris, and the pair tied the knot in 2023. Calvin, real name Adam Wiles, popped the question just five months into their relationship during a trip to his Ibiza farm.
Four months later, the duo exchanged vows at a stunning Hulne Priory, Alnwick ceremony. AJ Odudu, Scott Mills, and Vernon Kay attended the festival-themed wedding. The incredible day included a fireworks display and live music performances from Nile Rogers and Chic.
Before finding love with Calvin, Vick dated actor Tom Rosenthal for around four years. She was then linked to Rak-Su star Myles Stephenson while working as a backstage reporter on The X Factor in 2019. In 2020, there were whispers of a romance between Vick and boxer Anthony Joshua, yet this was never confirmed.
Countryfile airs on Sundays on BBC One at 5.15pm
