Ant and Dec have let slip when I'm A Celebrity: South Africa will hit screens. The Geordie duo, both 46, crowned social media star Angry Ginge as the most recent King of the Jungle when their ITV reality survival show wrapped over the weekend in Australia, and viewers will soon see them putting a group of former contestants through their paces.
The former Byker Grove stars recently took to social media to share a behind-the-scenes montage from the latest series, which featured celebrities like Emmerdale legend Lisa Riley, actress Ruby Wax and rapper Aitch, whilst EastEnders' Shona McGarty and Tom Read-Wilson of Celebs Go Dating fame also ended up in the final.
Alongside the social media post, Ant and Dec wrote: "25th series was pretty special. See you for more in May!” The news did not go unnoticed by fans, with one writing: "IN MAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAYYYYYYY."
Another said: "Can’t wait for another series in may and next November" and a third excitedly added: "Miss you already! See you on the telly!" Having already faced Bushtucker trials and creepy crawlies, several big names are set to head to South Africa for I'm A Celeb All Stars that Ant and Dec previously promised will be much harder than the original show.
In October, ITV released a trailer a second series of I'm A Celeb All Stars. In the teaser, hosts Ant and Dec say they are "looking for a legend". Dec added: "You've survived the Australian Jungle, how much harder can this be?" His question is followed by a string of screams, over videos of celebs doing terrifying tasks such as trying to cross a rope bridge high up in the sky. Ant then says: "Well, quite a lot harder, actually."
ITV cleverly hid the faces of the celebs taking part, but the rumoured line-up includes 14 famous faces, including a soaps legend, a scandalous Strictly star and a beloved Olympian.
At the time, it was reported that former favourites from the original camp like Scarlett Moffatt, Seann Walsh and Adam Thomas would be braving the whole series once again. The series has only had one outing so far, and at the time, it was former pop singer Myleene Klass who clinched the title after a nail-biting final against Jordan Banjo.
But despite being named the first I'm A Celebrity... Legend, the former Hear'Say star insisted upon her victory that she was not sure if she even wanted to take part at all when first asked. She said: "They say don’t go back to an ex and don’t go back to a reheated dinner. I thought to myself, ‘Oh no, what if it’s not as good?"
But everything turned out alright in the end, as she addded: "I’ve gone back into the bush and it’s been even bigger, more majestic. It’s not been against any campmates – it’s been against the best of the best. It’s just been mind-blowing.
“Everything was magical, very tough – challenging both mentally and physically – and something that I’ve loved throwing myself into." Her daughters Ava, 18, and Hero, 15, even talked her into signing up as she left them and her son Apollo with fiance Simon Motson.
She added: “Both of them were just begging me to do it. I said to them, ‘I’ll be as strong as I can be’. I wanted to show them, and other little girls, keep walking through the fire. I feel so happy. I said if I got a crown on my head it would be the icing on the cake. It’s better than that"
