Judd Trump was in action against Mark Williams in the quarter-final of the Riyadh Season Snooker Championship on Thursday, when he suffered quite the embarrassing wardrobe malfunction

Judd Trump found himself in a bit of a pickle during the Riyadh Season Snooker Championship quarter-final against Mark Williams on Thursday. The World No. 1 had chalk lodged in his trouser pocket while leading 25-18 in the first frame.
Trump was seen leaning his cue at the side of the table, trying to dislodge the stuck chalk from his pocket. Sporting a puzzled expression, he then informed the referee about the cause of the brief pause in play.
Despite another attempt to retrieve the chalk, he came up empty-handed. The snooker star then sought help from the referee, who tried to find an opening through his white gloves but to no avail.
Luckily, the 'Ace in the Pack' managed to free the chalk from his pocket and continue with the game. The Saudi Arabian crowd found humour in the situation, applauding Trump as he finally chalked his cue, prompting a smile from the 36-year-old, reports the Express.
Meanwhile, long-time rival Kyren Wilson, who was commentating on the match, suggested that the predicament could have been avoided if Trump had opted for a waistcoat. He explained: "Do you know what?
"This is a problem that I find without wearing the waistcoats, because we put our chalk in the waistcoat pocket. The amount of times your chalk can slip into your trouser pocket and you can't pull it out, because your hands are quite sweaty as well whilst you're playing. It is quite funny."
Fortunately for Trump, the embarrassing moment didn't stop him securing a comfortable 4-0 victory over Williams at the Global Theatre, booking his place in Friday's semi-final. There, he will play against 2025 World Champion Zhao Xintong.
Reflecting on his performance against Williams, Trump said: "It wasn't vintage, but I did the job. Still waiting for the win, but there have been ups and downs to the season.
"I have lost some finals; that will happen in your career. It is all about how you bounce back. I try not to put pressure on myself, but I want to win every tournament."
It comes as Trump is currently awaiting his first tournament win since last year's UK Championship, in which, he secured a 10-8 triumph over Barry Hawkins.
As a result, Trump has been on the lookout for a new cue, switching to one with a titanium ferrule as opposed to a traditional brass one at the start of the campaign.
Speaking about his experimentation with cues, Trump said at last week's Champion of Champions - in which, he was denied the title by Mark Selby: "The experiment with that cue did not succeed. It is hard to play your best when you are trying to find the right cue, but I'm out there battling.
"There is still going to be a bit of changing until I find the right cue, it is not perfect at the moment. We are all fortunate just to play snooker for a living. Sometimes it's tough when things are not going your way, but I will keep trying and at some point it will all click again."
