Odell Beckham Jr may not be able to return to the NFL for as long as TWO MONTHS according to the latest reports.

The wide receiver remains an unrestricted free agent after leaving the Los Angeles Rams, where he won a Super Bowl after joining the team mid-season following his controversial release from the Cleveland Browns.

Beckham Jr would become a vital part of the Rams offense scoring seven touchdowns in 11 starts as he starred in a Super Bowl victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. After the ACL tear, though, he would remain unsigned throughout this summer, as he rehabbed the injury ahead of getting back to full health.

And after reportedly being close to signing with a team ahead of a return, the latest news to emerge is that teams may have to wait as much as two months to get the superstar on the field again.

ESPN.com now reports, citing multiple unnamed team executives, that mid-December is a likely return date for Beckham Jr.

He was reportedly cleared for all contact practice, but the latest report suggests a full return is still some time away.

The Super Bowl champion will have no shortage of suitors whenever he is declared fit, though, with the Green Bay Packers, Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens are all said to be highly interested, whilst the Rams have not ruled out a return.

Besides the Bills, all are teams in need of help at the wide receiver position, with Aaron Rodgers suffering mightily with the Packers after Davante Adams' exit, joining the Las Vegas Raiders. Rodgers has spoken on Beckham, admitting he's a fan of his game.

The Chiefs also remain a strong possibility, with Patrick Mahomes also losing his superstar wideout with Tyreek Hill joining the Miami Dolphins.

The Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson have been without an elite player at wide receiver in some time, and have struggled offensively in spurts this season.

Whilst Rams head coach Sean McVay has already admitted that they are interested in bringing Beckham Jr back.
