NFL stars show off expensive Christmas gifts for team-mates including custom bikes - The Mirror

NFL superstars are obviously well paid for their production on the field, and some have gone the extra mile off of it in gifting their teammates with some extravagant presents for Christmas this year

Videos posted across social media have emerged of a number of NFL stars purchasing gifts for their teammates for Christmas this year, with a number of big-name quarterbacks buying some expensive items.

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers have bought their teammates custom scooter bikes, whilst Patrick Mahomes purchased all of his Kansas City Chiefs teammates a new set of golf clubs - something he can probably afford on his $500 million contract!

Allen, Rodgers and Mahomes are three of the highest players in the league, with Rodgers being the fifth highest paid in NFL history.

But one player, who makes around $1 million a year - considerably less than the league's average - caught the attention of many with his generous gifts.

Bills wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie purchased all of his fellow receivers, including Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis a custom arcade game machine. Each machine had each of the wide receiver's names and jersey numbers on, with the machine having 9,600 different games for them to play. McKenzie even gifted the wide receiver coach with an arcade machine.

A well-respected figure, McKenzie is the third option at wide receiver for the Bills, and took considerably less money than he could have this past off-season to remain with the Bills.

McKenzie was one of the top available slot receivers in free agency, but was said to turn down more money to remain in Buffalo, in the hopes of contending for a Super Bowl.

McKenzie has racked up 404 yards this season, but is without a touchdown after scoring five last season.

Elsewhere, Jets quarterback Zach Wilson also purchased scooters for his offensive line. Wilson has struggled this season and had been benched for back-up Mike White, who impressed before a rib injury ruled him out of their last two games.

Wilson started in Thursday night's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars but was benched for journeyman Chris Streveler, who has been on the practice squad for the Jets all season.
