The Dallas Cowboys may still be in for Odell Beckham Jr after all with an exciting update being given with the team looking likely to make a run at the Super Bowl.

It had been assumed that the Cowboys had moved on from Beckham Jr after he visited the team last week and left without a contract, with owner Jerry Jones worried about his health and being able to play this season.

The Cowboys then signed veteran wide receiver TY Hilton, who not only plays the same position as Beckham but even wears the same jersey number, with fans assuming that they had officially moved on from the 30-year-old.

Beckham Jr remains a free agent after leaving Super Bowl champions Los Angeles Rams last season, but has been recovering from a torn ACL ever since.

And although his current status is unknown, he remains a wanted man, with the Buffalo Bills and New York Giants also heavily interested in signing him in the hopes of boosting their Super Bowl chances.

The issue is that the wide receiver does not want to be given a short-term deal, indicating he wants assurances for any team willing to sign him with a two or three-year deal.

But now, it has been reported that Beckham could take one-year deal with the Cowboys, but would want to be giving a long-term contract after the season if he is able to contribute.

Speaking on FOX Sports show Undispited, Skip Bayless said: "I was told last night that Odell told Jerry that he will take the million now, if he gets taken care of after this year. If he can miraculously get back and win a Super Bowl, then he wants to be taken care of.

"I was told he used the line 'I want the beg' and then Jerry Jones said he will take care of him. The Cowboys have five-star facilities, and they'd be able to monitor Odell to get him back in 2023.

"But the issue is that no-one knows if he can run or not as no-one has seen him. Apparently he is still a little limp-y when he walks, remember he has has two surgeries on the same knee."

The Cowboys remain one of the favourites to win it all this year, with a dominant defence going with their improving offense, which could be hugely boosted by the superstar's arrival.
