Bronny James has been pictured for the first time since he suffered a cardiac arrest.

The 18-year-old collapsed during a practice session at the University of Southern California on Monday. Bronny, the son of NBA legend LeBron James, was rushed to hospital after a 9-1-1 call.

Bronny was taken to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles where he was treated and taken into the intensive care unit (ICU). The teenager was later taken out of the ICU and it emerged that he was in a stable condition.

On Thursday, it was announced that Bronny had been discharged from hospital, three days after the incident. And now he has been spotted in public for the first time since his health scare.

He was joined by his parents, LeBron and Savannah James, as well as his younger brother Bryce, who is also a talented basketball prospect, and his eight-year-sister called Zhuri.
The James family was seen leaving Giorgio Baldi, a famous Italian restaurant in Santa Monica, Los Angeles. Bronny appeared in good spirits as he made his way out of the restaurant after enjoying an evening dinner with his family.

Bronny was seen entering the passenger side door of a vehicle outside the restaurant. LeBron was alongside his son and proceeded to join him in the car by entering the driverβs side door.
After Bronny was discharged from hospital, Merije Chukumerije, a cardiovascular doctor at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA where the teenager was treated, gave a statement. He explained how he was "encouraged" by Bronnyβs response to the incident.

"Thanks to the swift and effective response by the USC athletics' medical staff, Bronny James was successfully treated for a sudden cardiac arrest," Dr Chukumerije said.
"He arrived at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center fully conscious, neurologically intact and stable. Mr James was cared for promptly by highly-trained staff and has been discharged home, where he is resting.
"Although his workup will be ongoing, we are hopeful for his continued progress and are encouraged by his response, resilience, and his family and community support."
Bronny has been expected to be one of the star prospects of the 2024 NBA Draft, after what would be his first year at college basketball in 2023/24. The teenager earned All-American honours after impressing in high school and was linked with a number of potential universities before he opted to choose USC in May.
