A small-staking punter has pulled off an incredible winning feat to collect a £30,000 windfall from 8p each way multiple bet.

The William Hill customer picked a Tuesday, traditionally the quietest day in the racing calendar, to put together a list of horses in their accumulator. A total of six horses were picked for an 8 pence each way Lucky 63. This is made up of six singles, 15 doubles, 20 trebles, 15 four-folds, six five-folds and a six-fold accumulator.

Remarkably five of the six selections won their races at the meetings at Redcar, Yarmouth and Wolverhampton to give the punter a bumper return of £29,732.09 from a total stake of £10.08.

The bet enjoyed a tremendous start when the first selection Just Typical won at odds of 18-1, before Mademoiselle scored at Yarmouth, where she returned a starting price of 6-1.

Then there was a blip when the Dan Skelton trained Spectre One finishing last at Uttoxeter, but it proved only temporary as there then followed a Wolverhampton treble.

The punter successfully found the winners of both divisions of the novice stakes as Ghisa struck at 20-1 and Ten Carat Harry took the second leg at 11-1, both ridden by Saffie Osborne. The coup de grace was applied by Advertorial who captured the 1m6f handicap at odds of 11-2.

William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps said: “We’ve been hit by a few mega multiples recently and it looks like we’ve lost another battle with the punters here.

“One customer has managed to cop nearly £30,000 from five winning selections in an 8p each-way Lucky 63, which is fantastic work. It’s not every day that you can turn a relatively small stake into a punchy five-figure sum, so we simply must take our hats off to this punter.”
