Liverpool have a decision to make on Trent Alexander-Arnold with Real Madrid not going away.
The right-back has seen his contract wind down and the Spanish giants are ready to pounce and have upped their efforts as The Reds star enters the final six months of his deal. Already an offer has been turned down but Real are ready to return.
Liverpool remain hopeful that Alexander-Arnold will opt to choose to pen a new deal and remain at the club where he's spent his entire career. The 26-year-old has been part of a hugely successful era and has outlined the conditions which could make him stay put.
He has made it clear he wants a long-term contract as well as a commitment to make him Liverpool captain. According to talkSPORT, Alexander-Arnold has made it known to the Anfield hierarchy that they must offer at least a three-year contract before he considers staying. They will also have to commit to handing him the armband in the 'long run'.

It is unknown how Alexander-Arnold's captaincy demand may affect the Dutchman's own negotiations over a new deal.
The right-back has put the ball in Liverpool's court and it is reported in Spain that Real will return with another bid, albeit they have capped how far they're prepared to go, claims Cadena SER.
Real are keen to land the Englishman this month but will not break the bank for a player they could land for free in a matter of months. Equally they can secure a pre-contract agreement which will secure Alexander-Arnold's signature for next season.
Liverpool currently believe that their right-back is more valuable to them over the coming months, with the team in contention for a number of trophies. Allowing him to depart would leave a void in their starting XI, albeit they are confident over some of their younger alternatives.
Despite the talk surrounding Alexander-Arnold insists he will not talk publicly about his future. "I have been at the club 20 years now and I have signed four or five contract extensions... and none of those have been played out in public," he said. "This one won't be either."
