Manchester United took their preparations for the new Premier League season up a few notches over the weekend - on and off the pitch.
On Saturday, the Red Devils agreed two separate deals with Bayern Munich to sign defensive pair Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui for a combined £51.5million. That news emerged just hours before United faced bitter rivals Manchester City in the Community Shield at Wembley.
Alejandro Garnacho's late goal to put Erik ten Hag's 1-0 up was quickly cancelled out by Bernardo Silva before misses from Jadon Sancho and Jonny Evans in the penalty shootout cost United the chance to win another trophy. Sunday then saw Aaron Wan-Bissaka head to London ahead of his £15million move to West Ham - but there's much more going on than just those two ins and one out.
Here's a round-up of the latest transfer news from Old Trafford.

Manchester United's medical staff had a busy day on Monday, as both Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui arrived at Carrington. The Bayern Munich duo left Germany by catching an early flight and were spotted heading into United's training complex before 10am.
Meanwhile in London, Aaron Wan-Bissaka began his medical tests with West Ham. The 26-year-old had entered the final year of his contract at Old Trafford and will be replaced by Mazraoui, who can also play at left-back.
Barcelona reject De Jong bid
Manchester United are back in for Frenkie de Jong - allegedly. After pulling out all the stops in 2022 when Erik ten Hag was first appointed, the Red Devils ultimately failed to land the Barcelona midfielder.
Now, though, Spanish outlet Nacional claim that United have reignited their interest and recently submitted a €50million (£42.9m) bid for De Jong. That, however, was rejected by Barca, who are reportedly open to offers for the 27-year-old Netherlands international amid their ongoing financial issues.

Casemiro expected to stay
Casemiro is increasingly likely to stay at Manchester United for a third season, despite interest from Saudi Arabia. The Brazilian midfielder suffered a drastic drop in performance levels last season, prompting heavy speculation that he'd be leaving Old Trafford before August 30, transfer deadline day.
But Sky Sports claim that despite multiple Saudi sides assessing Casemiro's situation, none of them have a strong enough interest at the moment. The midfielder, 32, has two years left on his £350,000-a-week contract and would need replacing in the middle of the park should he depart.
