One of Manchester United's most-talented youngsters looks on course to spend the second half of the 2025/26 season on loan in Switzerland after recovering from his injury

Manchester United's Sekou Kone is currently training with Lausanne Sport, hinting at a potential loan move for the second half of the season. Ineos-owned Lausanne already have Enzo Kana-Biyik on loan from United, and they could be looking to add Kone to their ranks for the rest of the campaign.
Kone suffered a sickening eye socket fracture while playing for the Under-21s against Tamworth in August. He was sidelined for several months before making his return to the academy in November.
The midfielder played a full match for the U21s against Borussia Dortmund at Old Trafford just before Christmas, setting him up for a potential loan move in the January transfer window. Kone has jetted off to Switzerland to train with Ineos-owned Lausanne ahead of a possible loan for the second half of the season.
He is spending time with Lausanne to determine if the deal would be beneficial for both parties.
Lausanne's manager, Peter Zeidler, recently told reporters: "Yes, he's been with us for a few days, we know he's a good player and we've been watching him closely. He'll play with us on Thursday.
"He's with us, we can observe him closely, and we'll make a decision, just like we did last summer with Enzo Kana-Biyik, a very good young player who improved a lot in just a few months with us despite his early-season injury, and who also belongs to Manchester United.
"We saw his quality, particularly with his assist against Fiorentina. We have good experience with Enzo, so why not with Sekou Kone? But to say today whether he'll come, I don't know. It depends on several factors; we'll decide between January 15th and February 15th, as with all players."
Kana-Biyik quietly joined Manchester during the summer transfer window, arriving on a free from French side Le Havre before heading straight out on a season-long loan to Lausanne.
Kone would become the second United player sent on loan to Ineos-owned Lausanne should the switch get the go-ahead.
Ruben Amorim included Kone in three Premier League matchday squads last term - for fixtures against Tottenham, Everton and Nottingham Forest - but the teenager is yet to make his first-team bow.
The 19-year-old then jetted off to the USA for pre-season training, though he failed to feature in any matches.
United forked out approximately £1million to bring Kone over from Malian outfit Guidars FC in August 2024.
