Manager Nigel Pearson and up to 10 of his players are poised to be offered fresh contracts by Leicester after their promotion.

A new three-year offer is on the table for Pearson, whose deal, like that of Kasper Schmeichel, David Nugent and Lloyd Dyer was due to expire in the summer.

Extensions are also in the pipeline for Foxes skipper Wes Morgan, Anthony Knockaert, Jamie Vardy, Danny Drinkwater, Ritchie De Laet and Matty James.

Pearson said: β€œI know that for most of the players it’s ongoing and I don’t see a problem.
