Spartak Moscow star Quincy Promes says he has no intention of joining Liverpool this month.
β
The Dutch international, 25, is a good friend of current Reds midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, and has been linked with a move to Anfield.
β
Jurgen Klopp continues to search for another wide option, and having given up on Borussia Dortmund's Christian Pulisic, was said to be weighing up Promes as a potential alternative.
β
Reds officials have watched the tricky winger in action in recent months, but Promes says he's happy in Moscow.

βI never thought about other clubs," he told Sport Express. "Never. Some things were said, but I do not know about that.
βI just know that I play for Spartak, and people who really know me understand this.β
Promes, who joined Spartak for β¬11million in 2014, also stresses that while Wijnaldum has admitted he would like to link up on Merseyside, that's about it.

βYes, he says he wants me [at Liverpool], because he likes me as a player. Thatβs what he said. I talked with him, of course. But it wasnβt about Liverpool. Weβre just friends.
βI repeat: everyone who knows me understands what I think, and fans of Spartak know and remember what I said.
βSo I do not understand why this issue is discussed at all.β
