Crystal Palace are set for a deadline-day exodus as Alan Pardew bids to balance the books, writes Darren Witcoop for the Sunday People.

Palace need to slash their bloated squad, with Adrian Mariappa, Jonny Williams, Adlene Guedioura, Barry Bannan, Zeki Fryers and Paddy McCarthy all available.

Pardew will also listen to offers for Joe Ledley, with West Brom and old club Cardiff keen on the Wales outcast.

Two of strikers Glenn Murray, Dwight Gayle and Fraizer Campbell are likely to move on.

Goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey could also be on his way, with first-choice Julian Speroni close to recovering from a finger injury.

Palace have no problem meeting the home-grown criteria for the 25-man Premier League squad and now need to slash numbers after a heavy outlay.

Eagles boss Pardew must cut back after shelling out over £50million on new players since the start of the year.
