Nico O'Reilly has been rewarded for his stunning progress with a new and improved deal at Manchester City. O'Reilly has agreed a contract until 2030, with the option of a further 12 months.
City bosses have been keen to acknowledge the fact O'Reilly is now an established part of Pep Guardiola's first team squad. The 20-year-old has enjoyed a meteoric rise through the ranks in the last 12 months.
He only made his senior debut 13 month ago, and has made just 13 Premier League appearances. The attacking midfielder, who can also operate at left back, is being tipped to become a full England international in the coming months. He has made six appearances this season, and was outstanding in City's 1-1 draw at Arsenal last weekend.
O'Reilly, who has scored five goals in 27 appearances in all competitions, said: βThis is a day I will never forget.
"I have been at City since the age of eight, and to have made it into the first team and have played matches is a dream come true. To be rewarded with a new contract really is special.
"I am really proud and so is my mum! She has sacrificed so much to get me to where am today, so I am just as happy for her as I am for myself.

"Here at City, with Pep as manager, I know I can do that. This is the best place for a footballer to be.
"I want to thank everyone who works in the Academy, all my teammates, Pep, the coaching staff and the City fans, because without all those people supporting me along the way, none of this would have been possible for me.β
