The points were shared in an incident-packed Cheshire derby.
Greg Tansey scored from close range, then Crewe’s Clayton Donaldson netted his 10th and 11th goals of the season either side of the break.
Stockport’s David Poole scored from close range in the 54th minute, but Crewe went back in front through Danny Shelley before Tansey made it 3-3 from the spot.
