JIMMY KEBE inspired Reading to a gutsy win β despite playing half-an-hour with 10 men.
β
Centre-back Zurab Khizanishvili, starting a second spell on loan from Blackburn, saw red for a harsh second booking when it was 0-0.
β
But Mali star Kebe finally broke through with a bullet header 12 minutes from time.
β
Then stoppage-time strikes from Ian Harte and Hal Robson-Kanu rewarded Readingβs dominance after ref Pat Millerβs linesman-aided decision threatened to floor them.
Reading boss Brian McDermott said: βIβve seen the video and it was not even a foul by Zurab, never mind a booking.
β
βBut the sending-off galvanised us. We showed great resilience, got in plenty of crosses and shots and got the right result.β
Tykes manager Mark Robins fumed: βThe scoreline was not harsh β we got exactly what we deserved. We were shocking.β
Reading won 22 corners without any reward before substitute Robson-Kanu crossed for Kebe to head home.
Recent signing Harte fired a free-kick in off a post after 90 minutes before Robson-Kanu brilliantly raced from his own half to shoot past Luke Steele.
