BOURNEMOUTH TWO 2
BURY 0
Jimmy Quinn will hold talks with the Bournemouth board this week in a bid to boost his January transfer budget.
The Cherries boss admitted the win over second-placed Bury barely made up for the shock of last week's FA Cup loss to non-league Blyth.
But he hopes the three points will strengthen his hand when he sits down with the club's number-crunchers .
He said: Tve got a list of targets and I'll speak to the board at the beginning of the week to see what is available and what isn't.
"I think two or three players in key positions will strengthen us and make us a better team.
"We'll be looking at getting another striker in and maybe a midfield player with a bit of flair in place of Darren Anderton."
Sammy Igoe and Joe Partington sealed the win and Bury boss Alan Knill said: "We got what we deserved."
