New Norwich sporting director Stuart Webber has his eyes on Uwe Rosler again.

Welsh-born Webber, 33, swapped Huddersfield for Championship rivals Norwich this week.

β€Œ

His priority is to replace Alex Neil who was sacked by the relegated Canaries last month.

MirrorSport understands Webber’s top choice is Fleetwood manager Rosler, 48.

Webber had Rosler on standby to replace David Wagner at Huddersfield in December when the Town boss was courted by Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg.

Webber’s plan was put on ice when highly-rated Wagner opted to remain at Huddersfield.

But Webber has resurrected his interest in former Brentford, Wigan and Leeds boss Rosler after moving to Carrow Road.

Rosler has guided Fleetwood into the League One play-off shake-up - defying bookies who had them down as one of the favourites for relegation.

His style of football is similar to German compatriots Jurgen Klopp and Wagner , who advocate a high press to win back possession.

The Canaries, who are struggling to make the play-offs, return to action on Wednesday at Huddersfield.
