Ruben Amorim has reportedly been left unimpressed with Marcus Rashford in training which has led the forward to be frozen out of the Manchester United squad.
The England international got off to the perfect start under Amorim, scoring inside two minutes against Ipswich in the Portuguese's first game in charge last month. He made that three goals in three games with a double against Everton, before falling dramatically down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
Earlier this month Rashford announced that he's ready to leave his boyhood club in a surprise statement. The revelation came after he was left out of the squad in United's 2-1 win victory over Manchester City. He has since been absent for the matchday squads for the defeats against both Tottenham Hotspur and Bournemouth last weekend.
According to the Daily Star, Amorim has refused to involve Rashford due to his poor performances in training. It is also claimed that Amorim has told Rashford he will not be recalled to the squad until his attitude improves.
The Portuguese boss has not publicly discussed the 27-year-old's attitude as the reason for his axing from the squad. He has instead focused on his performances in training and admitted that it's not up to par if he wants to fight his way back into the team.
After explaining why he left Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho out of the squad for the Manchester derby, Amorim said: "It is important the performance in training, the performance in games, the way you dress, the way you eat, the way you engage with your team-mates, the way you push your team-mates."
The report adds that Rashford's desire to get back into England squad under new boss Thomas Tuchel means he would prefer a move within Europe instead of Saudi Arabia or United States.
While Amorim has taken a hard stance in dealing with Rashford, he insisted that he's always available to help the forward and admitted the team needs someone of his calibre.
"It is a hard situation," Amorim told Sky Sports. "I understand that these players have a lot of people around them, making choices that are not the first idea from the player. I am always here to help Marcus as another player. I have to do what I have to do. They chose to do the interview as it is not just Marcus. I understand that.

"As a coach I focus on performance and the way you train. The rest, it is better for me and the club to deal with that when the time comes. At the moment I focus on improving Marcus and we need a talented guy like Marcus. I forget the interview now and see what I see on the pitch."
It remains to be seen whether Rashford will return to the squad for their Boxing Day (December 26) clash away to Wolves on Thursday.
