Gary Neville has questioned whether Mohamed Salah may be sending the Liverpool hierarchy a message regarding his future through social media.
β
The 32-year-old has been a major topic of discussion this season thanks to his uncertain future and spectacular play, which sees the Reds sit top of the Premier League.
β
Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold's Anfield contracts expire in the summer of 2025. While talks over the trio's deals are reportedly ongoing, assurances of them putting pen to paper have been few and far between.
β
The Egyptian hasn't shied away from discussing whether his time at Liverpool could be coming to an end. His recent Instagram post after their 2-1 win over Brighton this past week has continued to fuel speculation over his future.

Nothing less. All teams win matches but there's only one champion in the end. That's what we want.
"Thank you for your support last night. No matter what happens, I will never forget what scoring at Anfield feels like." Neville discussed possible theories for Salah's cryptic message with Rebecca Lowe in the latest edition of the It's Called Soccer podcast.
β
When asked for his take, the Manchester United legend said: "I thought he'd leave about 3, 4, 5 years ago; I didn't think he'd score the goals he's scored over this time and be as brilliant as he has.
"I don't know, is he sending a message to them because he wants a golden package to stay, and that's him saying, 'You better value me in the same way players have been valued at other clubs'.
β
"He's got a big wage packet already but is he saying, 'Give me the length of contract and value in contract that I deserve for what I've done for this club and I'm letting the fans know I'm not quite happy but I am happy'".
Salah first publicly mentioned his future after Liverpool's 3-0 win over the Red Devils in September when he told Sky Sports: "As you know, itβs my last year in the club. I just want to enjoy it, I donβt want to think about it. I feel Iβm free to play football and letβs see whatβs going to happen next year."
He's been in red-hot form for this club this season, scoring nine goals and assisting another nine in 16 games across all competitions, with Liverpool also top of the Champions League, winning all four of their games in Europe.
