Marcus Rashford fell into his bed fully clothed at 3am after going on a 12-hour bender fuelled by tequila in Belfast last week, according to reports.

Rashford is reported to have gone out partying in Northern Ireland before reporting ill to Manchester United chiefs and missing the FA Cup win over Newport. After the game, Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag insisted he would 'deal' with the striker.

United then released a statement on Monday evening announcing that they considered the matter to be closed. More details have now claimed to have emerged though, with Rashford's full night out on the town sure to make tough reading for Ten Hag.

According to The Sun, Rashford spent 12 hours out partying as he visited a friend in Belfast. It is claimed he knocked back tequila shots and cocktails in what one waitress described as a 'mission to get drunk'.

Waitress Sarah Adair alleged she served the United star lunch, but later ended up putting him to bed. Adair claims that Rashford did not touch his food, instead focusing on what tequila was on offer.

Rashford was then said to have asked if any of the clubs would stay open beyond the usual 3am closing time. After returning home from work to get changed, Adair claimed she was eventually picked up after a three hour wait before being asked to hand over her phone.

She claims she was then taken to the Villa Italia restaurant, where the England international had booked out the top floor. Rashford is claimed to have taken his own bottle of tequila, with his entourage said to be passing around a bottle of Patron.

โ€œIโ€™m not surprised he missed training the next day given how late he got to bed and how much heโ€™d had to drink," she said. "He mustโ€™ve known he wasnโ€™t going to be in any fit state to play football.โ€

It is alleged that at this point, one of Rashford's friends reminded him of his upcoming training session, but the player instead wanted to go on a night out. That is said to have led them to moving on to the Thompson's Garage nightclub.

It was there where Rashford was pictured, a matter of hours before he was due to report to Carrington. The Sun cite a source close to Rashford who insisted the striker left at around 1.15am.

But Adair has instead claimed that the group stayed until 2am when Rashford's security team urged the attacker to get to bed. They then reportedly headed back to the Fitzwilliam Hotel, where Adair says she put him into bed fully dressed.

Adair woke up at 9.30am the next morning to find Rashford and his group had already flown back to Manchester. The attacker missed Friday's training session and was then left out of the squad that traveled to Newport.

It has been reported that he has been fined two weeks' wage for his actions, with United insisting the matter is now closed. A club statement read: โ€œMarcus has taken responsibility for his actions. This has been dealt with as an internal disciplinary matter, which is now closed.โ€
