Mason Greenwood has not long forced his way into the Man Utd first-team, but was already offering his advice to a rising star in the club's academy long before making the step up.
The United and England forward, 19, flourished in his first season up from the youth ranks last term, scoring 17 times in his breakthrough year.
And it seems Greenwood was keen to pass on some tips to those attempting to tread the same path as him.
Highly-rated midfielder Shola Shoretire, 16, is already playing for United at under-23 level, and was a teammate of Greenwood's prior to his permanent step up to the senior side.
Speaking to Harry Pinero on YouTube (via MEN ), Shoretire revealed the simple yet sound nugget of advice Greenwood gave him which he has taken on board.
"One thing he's always said to me, you always miss 100 per cent of the shots you don't take," Shoretire said.
"You've always got to be trying to shoot.
"If you don't shoot, you don't score.
