Jadon Sancho enjoyed an impressive debut for Chelsea after joining them on deadline day but Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher has questioned why any player would join the Blues

Jadon Sancho is already loving life at Chelsea after being offered a career lifeline by the Blues.
The winger, 24, was frozen out at Manchester United last season after a row with Erik ten Hag and, on the whole, has struggled to replicate his dazzling Borussia Dortmund form after moving to the Premier League back in the summer of 2021.
Sancho joined Chelsea on transfer deadline day on loan with an obligation to make the move permanent next summer and went on to make a big impression in his debut by notching a late assist in Saturday night's last-gasp win over Bournemouth.
Speaking post-match, Sancho revealed he already feels far more comfortable at his boyhood club and thanked the staff and team-mate for instantly making him feel so welcome.

Just being back playing I'm very grateful. The team played very well and we are happy with the three points.
"I've been working hard for this moment and I'm just happy that I got my chance. I had a great end to last season being in the Champions League final. I'm just happy to make my debut for Chelsea. I have to thank all the staff and my team-mates. The first day I came in, they made me feel welcome and I'm so happy to feel this comfortable."
Sancho became the latest high-profile player to sign for Chelsea this summer and the club's owners have spent more than £1billion on new signings since taking over in 2022.

Several people have questioned their recruitment strategy including Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher, who warned players to steer clear of Stamford Bridge in a scathing rant.
"Chelsea have just got to stop buying players and players have got to stop signing for Chelsea. I don't know why, if I was a player, I'd look at Chelsea and sign," Carragher said.
"The only reason you might is if your agent says 'we're getting a seven year deal on big money' - it's guaranteed money. You know what I'd say - back yourself as a player, sign a four-year deal at a proper club, back yourself to do well.
"Then when you're up for renewal your money goes up anyway. I don't understand why players are signing seven-year deals. There isn't anything there. It is not a young and exciting team. They've just signed Joao Felix - tell me where he's going to play.
"They signed Neto a week ago - where is he playing when you've got Cole Palmer? Great football teams need competition. But every team I played in, there were seven or eight players who knew they were playing every week.
"Then you've got seven or eight players who are fighting for three positions. Then you've got another six players who are squad players. That is a healthy squad. What Chelsea have got now, where's Felix going to get changed at the training ground. If you've got 40 players - how are you in one dressing room? How are you putting a training session on?"
