England will play Brazil for the first time in seven years on Friday night as Gareth Southgate's side begin their build-up for Euro 2024.
The two sides last met in a friendly back in November 2017, when an experimental Three Lions side secured a credible goalless draw. Brazil started the game as heavy favourites and dominated possession.
They had 13 shots to England's four, but a resiliant Joe Hart made a series of crucial saves to keep his side in the game. Southgate's side were largely second-best, but Joe Gomez and Marcus Rashford both impressed.
Only five players in the starting line-up remain members of Southgate's side heading into Friday's game. Here, Mirror Football looks at the 11 players who last lined up for England against Brazil and where they are now.

This match marked Hart's 75th and final appearance on the international stage for England. After this break, the keeper lost his place in the squad to Jordan Pickford as he was also pushed out of Manchester City.
Hart had ill-fated spells at West Ham, Burnley and Tottenham, but a move to Celtic revitalised the end of his career. Having won two Scottish Premierships and being on track for a third, the 37-year-old will retire at the end of the season.

Kyle Walker
While Hart is slipping off into retirement, Walker remains at the top of his game. He is widely regarded as one of the best right-backs in the world and has become a key senior figure for England.
Walker has also taken on the role of captain of Manchester City, winning the treble last season. He is set to be the Three Lions' first-choice right-back at Euro 2024, having earned more than 80 caps.
Joe Gomez
Having had his career disrupted by injury just after winning the Premier League with Liverpool, Joe Gomez has finally retaken his place as one of the Reds' key players. He helped them to win the Carabao Cup last month and has proven to be a key versatility player.
While he has starred for his club, Gomez has found chances for England hard to come by. His last appearance for the Three Lions came in 2020, but he is back in Southgate's squad for this international break.
John Stones
Arguably the most important player in England's defence, John Stones has excelled for Manchester City in recent years. He helped them to win the treble last season and has again impressed this term.
On the international front, he has formed a solid partnership with Harry Maguire in defence. While Maguire's position in the team is under threat, Stones is now one of the first names on Southgate's teamsheet.
Harry Maguire
The clash with Brazil came at the very start of Maguire's England career, but he has since become a senior member of the team. The defender remains a key player under Southgate, though he has started to see his position come under threat from the likes of Marc Guehi.
On the club front, Maguire has endured a dreadful few years as Manchester United as a whole struggled. He has failed to live up to the £80m United paid Leicester to sign him and has found gametime hard to come by under Erik ten Hag when everyone is fit.
Ryan Bertrand
Bertrand has enjoyed a solid if unspectacular career in the years since the draw with Brazil. That game was one of his final appearances for England, earning 19 caps over the course of his career.
The left-back continued to play for Southampton, before joining Leicester where he won the Community Shield in 2021. But he left the Foxes after their relegation from the Premier League last season and remains without a club.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek
A successful loan move to Crystal Palace catapuled Loftus-Cheek into the England reckoning. But he struggled to find a place at Chelsea after returning from the Eagles and subsequently lost his place in the England team.
After an underwhelming loan at Fulham, the midfielder is finally showing his potential at AC Milan. The Englishman has been a key player for the Italian side, who sit second in Serie A, and will hope that form eventually leads to a recall to the Three Lions.
Eric Dier
Dier was at the top of his game in 2017 and featured heavily in England's 2018 World Cup campaign. He has continued to feature regularly for the Three Lions, though his form waned for Tottenham in recent years.
He fell out of favour with Ange Postecoglou at the start of this season and opted to join Bayern Munich in January. That inital loan was quickly made permanent, though he has not made an appearance for England for two years.
Jake Livermore
Livermore was perhaps a surprise inclusion in this England team given he was playing for West Brom at the time. He remained with the Baggies, now in the Championship, until the end of last season.
He subsequently joined Watford, also in the second tier, where he continues to be a key senior player. Livermore has not played for the Three Lions since 2017, though he was a standby player for the 2018 World Cup.
Jamie Vardy
Vardy gradually saw his game-time decrease for England and chosen to retire from international duty after the 2018 World Cup. Though he has not featured for the Three Lions since then, he has remained a reliable goalscorer for Leicester.
He won the FA Cup with the Foxes in 2021 and the Community Shield later that year. He remains at the King Power Stadium despite Leicester's relegation last season and has scored 15 goals this term.
Marcus Rashford
The final member of the line-up back then remains a regular player under Southgate. In total he has now eraned 59 caps, though a drop in form this season may see him lose his starting spot.
For Manchester United, Rashford has excelled, scoring 30 goals in Erik ten Hag's first season as manager and winning the Carabao Cup. This season has been more of a struggle and was marred by an ill-judged bender in Belfast, though the attacker remains a part of England's squad.
