This non-league owner and manager claims that he was once issued a lengthy stadium ban after confronting match officials in the car park after a game hungover

Dorking Wanderers owner and manager Marc White has revealed details about one of his most significant bans. The outspoken 52-year-old says he once received a stadium ban following a confrontation with officials after a match.
White established the current National League South club in 1999 with several friends. Throughout his years at the helm, he has guided them through 12 promotions up the English football pyramid.
But along the journey, the combative and forthright White has accumulated numerous sanctions due to his exchanges with match officials and choice language. He described one particular incident following a hungover dismissal that resulted in a severe penalty.
"I've had many, many, many bans. I once had a 12-game stadium ban," White explained on In The Mixer brought to you by Sky Bet. "I got sent off at York City. I'd been out the night before and was hungover. So I was in a bad mood I've got to admit. I was in a bad mood and was sent off.
"I was fuming because it was only 15 minutes in as well. I think we lost the game but I processed the sending off when I was in the changing rooms. But then my mates were saying they were going back out that night and they'd booked a taxi from outside the football club.

"As I was getting in the taxi door, out of the corner of my eye I just saw all four officials walking out the ground. I thought, 'Right...' The ban was for when I met them in the car park."
When asked whether he would ever tone down his outspoken approach, White recalled an occasion when he even criticised his own supporters in a post-match interview.
"Yeah, loads of people," White responded when asked if anyone had urged him to change. "I get emails, do you know what I mean? Loads of people over the years.
"But I think it's because I've been doing it from day one. I'm so embedded in it all. I'm going to be the most passionate one out there. I've even told the fans to f**k off loads.
"We once had a game against Slough Town. There was a storm. We're playing at home and there was a storm. I mean a proper hailstorm in about the 85th minute.
"We were 4-2 down. Almost every fan left the ground to get out of the storm. I was fuming. I was soaking wet. In my interview at the end it just overcame me.
"I said, 'If anyone left this ground, tell them that they don't need to come back, we don't need them, we were there before them and we'll be there after them...' I then got emails from people apologising for leaving. One bloke said, 'I'm really sorry Marc, I had to pick my wife up from Sainsbury's!'"
