Christiano Ronaldo's £61m private jet caused a stir on Friday after appearing at Manchester Airport.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid superstar purchased the Bombardier Global Express 6500 jet last year - and it's pretty hard to miss.

The all-black plane includes a seating area with tables and sofas, a suite with a double bed, and a separate shower area. It's customised with his CR7 logo throughout, while decals of his silhouette performing his trademark 'Siuuu!!!' goal celebration decorates the plane's exterior.

The airport shared a brief video of the plane, accompanied by heart-eyed and eye emojis on Friday afternoon. A spokesperson confirmed the jet was currently at the airport.

It is unclear if Ronaldo, who played on Thursday night for his Saudi Pro League team Al-Nassr, is in Manchester with the plane. It seems unlikely given he's back in action in Saudi on Monday night.

Ronaldo, worth in the region of £500million, enjoyed six hugely successful years at Old Trafford under Sir Alex Ferguson before his then-world record £80m transfer to Real Madrid in 2009.

He returned to United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in 2021 after a short stint at Juventus, top-scoring in his one full season back at Old Trafford - before being unceremoniously dumped by Erik ten Hag early in his second campaign back at the club.

He duly joined Al Nassr in 2023, with his £168m salary helping make him the highest-paid sportsman in the world, according to Forbes.

He raked in an astonishing £208m in 2024 according to the publication, as he led their list of the planet's Top 100 highest paid sport stars.
