Chelsea and Manchester City join the giants of world football to discover their fate in the Club World Cup draw with the expanded competition to take place in the United States next summer

The draw for the inaugral edition of the new Club World Cup format is complete.

The event got underway on Thursday evening in Miami, ahead of this summer's tournament in the United States. In addition to the teams learning their opponents, a message from Donald Trump played and a new trophy was unveiled.

Manchester City, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich all discovered who they face in the 32-team competition with rivals from all across the globe. The expanded tournament will take place between June 15 and July 13 2025.

City will face Wydad in their opening game, and also see Al Ain and Juventus in their group. Enzo Maresca's Chelsea side will face off against Flamengo. Esperance Sportive de Tunisie and open their tournament against Club Leon.

Lionel Messi's Inter Miami meanwhile play in the tournament's first match against Al Ahly and are also joined by Porto and Palmeiras in Group A.
