The fixtures for the 2021/22 Championship season have been released this morning.

West Bromwich Albion return to the Championship with a tough-looking trip to Bournemouth.

The Cherries, widely expected to announce Scott Parker as their new manager imminently, fell short in the play-offs last term and will be looking to mount another promotion tilt this term.

They will be looking for a quick start against the managerless Baggies, who will be looking to bounce back into the Premier League at the first attempt.

Fulham, Parker's current employers, begin their campaign back in the second tier at home to Neil Warnock's Middlesbrough whilst Sheffield United also have a home game to start with.

New boss Slavisa Jokanovic begins his reign at Bramall Lane with a visit from Lee Bowyer's Birmingham City.

The Tigers go to Preston, Posh travel to Luton and the Tangerines are on the road at Bristol City. Swansea City, who lost the play-off final to Brentford last season, start the new campaign away at Blackburn Rovers.

The season begins on August 7 and finishes exactly eight months later, on May 7.
