Luis Diaz has hailed 'incredible' Harry Kane after being left stunned by the striker’s work ethic. The winger completed a £65.5m move to Bayern Munich in the summer following an eye-catching spell with Liverpool.

And while the Colombian had faced Kane on a number of occasions, Diaz has claimed that he has only started to appreciate the forward’s dedication to his craft as his teammate.

Speaking to The Guardian, Diaz said: "Wow. Harry Kane … is incredible. I faced him many times back when he was with Tottenham so I knew him on the pitch but never shared it with him.

“Because one thing is seeing him and the other is sharing with him in training or in the dressing room. Exactly, the day by day. The little details. He surprised me.

“He does things in training where I say to myself, 'this can’t be'. He’s so good. So good. It’s the truth! He plays so much and does everything well. Hunts for the ball, passes, defends – you watch him defend, he dedicates himself so much, someone so calm … and yet he scores goals.

“This guy lives for them. Each one that comes to him – once, twice, three times – he scores all of them. He's also a great person. Very down to earth, family-orientated, just a spectacular person."

Kane is in the middle of another stunning season as a Bayern Munich player. The 32-year-old already has an eye-watering 29 goals in just 24 appearances in all competitions.

Diaz is also enjoying a productive debut campaign in Bavaria following his arrival from Liverpool. He has already scored 12 goals and notched seven assists for Bayern this term.

Bayern boss Vincent Kompany is also a huge fan of Kane amid his standout performances this season. Speaking last week, he said: "Harry's consistency is very impressive.

"You can tell he feels at ease in Munich, with his family and in this team. We have an absolute leader in Harry.

"Harry and Nicolas (Jackson) have a very good relationship in training. They always work on their finishes together. Nicolas keeps making progress because he trains with Harry."

Kane and Diaz will be aiming to add to their eye-catching records this coming campaign as Bayern take on Heidenheim away from home. The reigning champions sit six points clear at the top of the Bundesliga.
